Resume : Actrice malgré elle d'une vie qu'elle abhorre (dépendance aux médicaments, conflit avec un mari alcoolique, tentative de suicide), une jeune femme, Shiori, prend la fuite pour se réfugier chez une amie. Mais celle-ci, quoiqu'amicale, entretient également une dépendance aux drogues. Shiori s'enfuit à nouveau, égarée, sans perspectives. Son errance la conduira successivement auprès d'un ancien amoureux puis d'une connaissance de celui-ci, qui fait entrer la jeune femme dans le cir- cuit de la prostitution. Une lente dérive en forme de descente aux enfers, qui, après un détour par la maison familiale et un bref épisode religieux, amènera Shiori redevenue totalement toxico-dépendante aux portes de la clochardisation, puis de la mort.
